The reporter learned from China Kexing Holding Biotechnology Co., Ltd. that KeyVac, a joint venture invested by Kexing in Türkiye, won the bid for the long-term supply project of hepatitis A and varicella vaccine in Türkiye.

In order to realize the localized production and supply of human vaccines, the government of Türkiye started the public bidding for hepatitis A and varicella vaccines in December 2023, and officially opened the bid on April 2, 2024. KeyVac stood out in the fierce international competition.

KeyVac is a joint venture jointly invested by Kexing and Alagz Holding Company, a local partner of Türkiye, in October 2021. The total investment of KeyVac vaccine production base is 100 million US dollars, with an annual production capacity of 30 million doses of vaccines. The factory has obtained the GMP certification in Türkiye in October 2023.

Yang Guang, the chief commercial officer of Sinovac, said in Beijing on the 30th that the winning of the bid means that Sinovac's vaccine products, services and technical capabilities have been recognized and trusted by the government and the people of Türkiye, and it is also an important step for Sinovac to accelerate international cooperation.

It is understood that since 2013, Sinovac has participated in the bidding of hepatitis A vaccine in Türkiye and explored local production cooperation. From 2020, Sinovac will supply COVID-19 vaccine, hepatitis A vaccine, influenza vaccine and varicella vaccine to Türkiye, with a total of nearly 94 million doses.

Kexing has cooperated in multiple countries. It is reported that as of now, Sinovac's multi category vaccines have been supplied to more than 80 countries and regions. In addition to COVID-19 vaccine, Sinovac also has 12 kinds of vaccines, including hepatitis A, chicken pox and influenza, of which 7 vaccine products have been registered in 37 countries.

At present, there are a total of 7 enterprises in China that have pre certified vaccine products from the World Health Organization, two of which are under the umbrella of Sinovac.
